Kula Kids was established in 1997 by Leanne Dryburgh, when she noticed there was a gap in the children’s clothing industry for 100% cotton clothing.
Leanne started with the manufacturing of beautiful cotton pyjamas, which quickly spread to a full range of exclusive children’s cotton clothing.
Kula Kids was the first children’s fashion house in South Africa to be invited to participate in SA Fashion Week in 2001, are were on national television – it was a resounding success. This lead to the opening of their first retail store in Johannesburg, and later a franchise was opened in Knysna.
Kula Kids graced the covers of 3 magazines, and had many media insertions throughout South Africa.
